With key pieces of information, you will be able to get the greatest value out of your Meal Plan.

You must present your HawkCard to the cashier to use your Meal Plan, Blox Plan or Bonus Points.
Keep track of how many meals you have available at all times and budget wisely.
Know how many Bonus Points you have available and where/how you can use them.
While dining in The Commons, mix and match items from different stations to create the 'perfect plate' for your taste.

Know the hours for each meal period in The Commons. Meals can only be used during Meal Hours.
A Supervisor or Manager is always on duty and willing to help if you need assistance.
Create Your Own, Commuter 5 and Commons Lunch Blox are the only Meal Plans that allow you to use a meal swipe to bring in a guest.

All students living in MSV and SSV (without exclusive use of a kitchen) or 1st year Shimer students living in Gunsaulus are required to participate in the 19 Plus, 14 Plus or Create Your Own Meal Plan. For additional details on meal plan participation requirements, contact Housing and Residential Services at housing.iit.edu.
